Senate Bill 219 which advocates for “No Citizenship Proof For Occupational License” and is the follow up to 2020’s SB 137, will be heard in the Senate Tax, Business & Transportation Committee tomorrow, February 20, at 9am via Zoom.

On Monday, February 1, Senator Gerald Ortiz y Pino introduced Senate Bill 219, “No Citizenship Proof For Occupational License” as an extension of last year’s SB 137.

For 100 days, starting January 22, 2021, DHS will pause removals for certain non-citizens ordered deported to ensure we have a fair and effective immigration enforcement system focused on protecting national security, border security, and public safety.
